HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 211 Deliberately Provoked

Chapter 211 Deliberately Provoked

When Harry heard that Gloria was going to take action, he was worried and curious, but he also knew that her authority in the school was much greater than that of ordinary students.

"What are you going to do?"

"You'll know when you succeed." Gloria said seriously, "Harry, my snake senses that you are very depressed. If you lose control of your temper, you might as well tell Hermione and the others what you really think. Don't think that writing to Sirius is disturbing him. Everyone cares about you."

If Headmaster Dumbledore wanted to distance himself from Harry, she had to take the lead in the conversation.

Harry felt that he was always easily angry recently, and felt very upset when he was angry.

"Thank you Leah..."

When he stepped into the lounge on the first night of school, students from the same college looked at him strangely. Everyone thought he was a liar and crazy.

People from other colleges were looking at him in all kinds of ways. Umbridge was obviously targeting him, and the torturous confinement last night made him feel powerless.

Harry didn't want to have another public outburst, there was enough going on as it was.

He scratched his messy hair, and the pain on the back of his right hand subsided a lot. "I will tell them when the confinement is over."

If everyone knew what he was facing in detention, Sirius would definitely rush to the school immediately, not to mention Hermione and Ron.

Gloria didn't say much and patted him on the shoulder.

She waited until Harry left before getting up and going to her room.

Draco sat at the table, a few strands of golden hair falling on his forehead. Under the firelight, his handsome features were shaded with just the right amount of shadows.

"Are you done?" He continued writing.

"Yeah." Gloria sat down next to him, "Umbridge's methods are disgusting."

Draco frowned, "You can tell at first glance that she's a perverted old woman."

Even if Gloria didn't say it explicitly, the boy could guess that Potter had suffered a bad fate.

"This is Hogwarts. I belong to this school." Gloria supported her chin with one hand and said, "We can't let Umbridge continue to be so arrogant."

"What are you going to do?" Draco finally stopped writing.

Gloria lowered her eyes and smiled, "We'll know in the next Defense Against the Dark Arts class."

·

The Defense Against the Dark Arts class has now become everyone's most hated course. Although Professor Moody was a bit crazy last year, at least he taught solid material and useful knowledge.

Surprisingly, second only to Professor Lupin in terms of reliability.

Umbridge only made them read boring books.

Gloria and Draco had finished most of their homework, and when they arrived at the classroom, they saw a group of students listlessly taking out their textbooks, despairing of the course.

This afternoon was another Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Umbridge did nothing but sit at the desk and watch them, or walk downstairs for a few steps. She was not there to teach them, but to monitor them.

The Hufflepuff students on the other side had resentful looks on their faces. After all, they had important exams this year and it seemed that they could give up on the results of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

I can only pray that when I take the exam, I will have more knowledge that I learned previously.

Perhaps because she had punished Harry severely, Umbridge swept away her gloom and walked into the classroom with a disgusting smile. She was still wearing the dazzling pink dress, but the style was different.

"Good afternoon, students."

When she greets someone like this, everyone must respond loudly.

Not surprisingly, they were still reading books today. Harry was a lesson learned from the past, so no one dared to raise any objections.

Anyway, the woman only had one sentence, which was enough for them to cope with the OWL exam.

Everyone opened their books, but before they read the first word, a voice broke the silence.

"professor--"

Gloria sat at the table with her hands on her legs.

"You need to raise your hand to ask questions in class." Umbridge was more comfortable dealing with her today than before.

"Our Ordinary Wizarding Level exams are very important, and I think it would be disadvantageous for us to only rely on reading this book for our Defense Against the Dark Arts exams."

Gloria expressed the thoughts of many students, and everyone stopped and watched what would happen next.

After all, she is much better than Harry.

She ignored Umbridge's gloomy face and continued, "Regarding this exam, I have asked the relevant graduating students. The exam is not only about knowledge, but also about practice. When you said that the Ministry of Magic wants to correct and reform education, do you mean that this exam has eliminated the practical part and only leaves written knowledge?"

The Hufflepuff students swore that this was the first time they admired a Slytherin student so much!

They all stared at Gloria with shocked yet secretly happy eyes.

Doesn't Umbridge always like to talk about the Ministry of Magic? Then use that aspect to refute her.

"I promise that the books I choose will be enough for the exam..."

"What promise can you make?" Gloria asked seriously, "Can you admit all students who do not meet the academic requirements in the name of the Ministry of Magic without any requirements? It's just talk."

She said in a serious tone, "The types of questions in previous exams have not focused entirely on defense theory. Does the Ministry of Magic want to ruin all fifth-year students?"

Umbridge's face turned completely cold. "Miss Slytherin didn't raise her hand. No one is allowed to speak. Now - read!"

At this moment, no matter what their relationship with Gloria was, everyone was excited and looking forward to her next move.

As expected, she did not disappoint everyone and ignored Umbridge's words. "Does your attitude mean that the Ministry of Magic has applied for a reform of the OWL exam and when it will be passed? Or does it mean that you made all your own decisions and Fudge agreed with your approach?"

"That's enough!" Umbridge's voice was sharp, no longer as coquettish as before, and her eyes were even more bulging.

"Detention, Miss Slytherin," she said through gritted teeth. "For your disruption of class."

Someone behind her sneered rudely, but Umbridge did not blame her and allowed non-club students to laugh at Gloria.

The excitement of the Hufflepuff students nearby subsided. Harry and Gloria were both put in detention. No one in the school could control this old toad.

Having achieved her goal, Gloria stopped talking and did not read the book.

Draco looked at her silently and received a soothing look in return.

During class, Gloria just crossed her arms and waited for the get out of class to end. Umbridge did not require her to read.

Before the get out of class ended, she wrote a letter, and when the bell rang, she walked to Gloria's seat.

"Give the letter to Professor Snape, and you must come to my office for detention at five o'clock this evening." Her eyes were vicious, and she couldn't wait until tomorrow. "I'll wait for you and Mr. Potter in the office."

When Crabbe and his gang passed by, Pansy laughed unceremoniously and looked at her wantonly.

However, Gloria took the letter gracefully and glanced at the group of people slightly, successfully stopping Pansy's laughter.

"I'll go find Professor Snape now."

After leaving the classroom, Draco asked in a worried tone, "Is it really okay?"

Anyone could see that she was deliberately trying to provoke Umbridge.

Gloria fanned herself with the letter, "Believe me, the professor's office is going to be busy today."

Draco put his arm around her waist, "I'll meet you near her office then."

Gloria asked him to go back and do his homework first while she went to the dean's office.
