HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 210 Emotions Affected

Chapter 210 Emotions Affected

Gloria read the letter quietly. She knew that she could not stop the education order from being passed. Her power in the Ministry of Magic was far from enough.

"How annoying." Draco said disgustedly, "That pink toad will have to do more."

Especially after talking to Gloria yesterday, Umbridge was just a professor.

"Let them come." Gloria folded the letter. "If we do more, we will be able to find enough mistakes in the future. Then we can strike a blow to the prestige of Fudge's faction and see if there is a chance to win over some people."

"Will it affect us? After all, the academy is temporarily in a state of division."

Draco knew that she had no intention of violently ruling every student in the academy. Firstly, it was unnecessary, and secondly, it was not worth it.

"A little bit." Gloria handed the letter to the elf, which would be placed in the office of Slytherin Manor. "But it won't mean anything to me."

The entire lunch hour was spent in the Chamber of Secrets. The homework for Charms and Potions had been completed, and the homework for History of Magic was only halfway done.

Gloria stretched and said, "It's almost time, let's go."

Draco put down his pen and rubbed his eyes, taking only paper, pen and the Care of Magical Creatures textbook. Anyway, they still had to come here after the afternoon class.

The rain outside had almost stopped, with only a few raindrops remaining.

The cool breeze brushed against every inch of the school robes, and the Whomping Willow not far away shook its canopy quickly, shaking off all the raindrops.

Professor Grubbly-Plank had set up a long table, and quite a few students were already gathered around it.

Gloria came closer and found some thin branches on the table. Of course, that was the surface. She and Draco had seen this creature in Newt's magical suitcase - the Bowtruckle.

"I'm going to go talk to Harry." She whispered in Draco's ear.

The boy locked his eyes on Harry who was walking towards him and nodded.

Gloria came straight over and pulled Harry away. Ron stood there at a loss for two seconds before going to the long table.

She led people to the back of the group, making sure they were blocked by students in the front.

"What happened yesterday?"

Harry's emotions were affected by the residual soul, so she had to pay more attention.

Professor Grubbly-Plank saw that all the students had arrived and began to ask questions, and Hermione was the first to raise her hand.

Harry knew that all the teachers and students in the school knew about his quarrel with Umbridge yesterday.

"She doesn't let us study normal courses and keeps us reading..." Harry got angry when he mentioned this. "I think the situation is dangerous and we need to learn enough defensive methods. She thinks it's safe now, and then..."

Gloria understood that his emotions were affected by the residual soul and did not express any opinion.

"Have you dreamt about anything lately?"

Golinia says that their connection is stronger and Harry might have a dream similar to last year.

Harry was stunned when she suddenly asked this. He hesitated for a while before saying, "I saw a long corridor and some closed doors... They looked a little familiar, that's all."

"Have you told Sirius and the others about the dream?"

"No." Harry shook his head. "Just the corridors and doors. Not like last year... you know."

There was no slaughtered old man, and no Voldemort's face appeared.

Gloria said seriously: "You should tell the Order of the Phoenix about any dream, whether it is related to Voldemort or not."

Harry nodded, "I understand. I will write to Sirius when this is over today."

What he was talking about was going to Umbridge for detention.

"You have to be careful with Umbridge," Gloria said. "If she gives you a harmful detention, don't hide it from her. Also, the Ministry of Magic will increase its control over the school recently, so try to reduce the reasons for Umbridge to punish you in the future."

Harry nodded silently, then asked, "Do you know where Hagrid went?"

Strictly speaking, Hagrid was the first friend he made in the wizarding world, so he felt sad when he didn't see him at the beginning of this school year.

Gloria said calmly, "He probably worked for Headmaster Dumbledore. Otherwise, who would have let him leave Hogwarts?"

Harry breathed a sigh of relief. It was good that he was not expelled. He was worried that the Ministry of Magic would know that Hagrid was a half-giant and use this as a reason to expel him from school.

Over there, Professor Grubplan asked each student to take some ground turtles, form teams to take away the Bowtruckle, and complete a sketch before the end of get out of class, drawing every part of the Bowtruckle's body.

This was not difficult for Gloria and Draco. In order to thank them for staying with him, Newt took them to learn about every creature in the suitcase in detail.

"I heard that Potter is going to detention after his classes today." There were so many people discussing this that it was hard for Zabini not to know.

Draco said firmly, "Potter is in trouble."

Gloria could only guess in her heart what means Umbridge would use to punish Harry.

·

Gloria didn't know what Harry had experienced last night, so she wrote him a letter in the morning and made an appointment to meet in the secret room at noon.

Draco stayed in the small room in the secret chamber to do his homework. The soundproofing was so good that he could not hear any sound from outside.

Harry hesitated for a while but finally came. In his mind, Gloria was now as smart and reliable as Hermione.

She was the only one in the secret room.

Harry sat down and remained silent. Gloria looked him up and down, and finally her eyes fell on his right hand.

"What did confinement do?"

Harry only stretched out his right hand, the entire back of his hand was red.

"I can't lie—"

Harry looked up sharply when he heard her words, "How did you know?!"

There was clearly no other mark left on the back of the hand except for a red mark.

"Harry, my last name is Slytherin. I am proficient in the use of the Dark Arts beyond your imagination. It is easy for me to feel the mark of the Dark Arts."

"I smell it." Jörmungandr poked his head out of his school robe. "Do you need to eat it? It will make him feel less painful."

Gloria stared at Harry with her silver eyes, silently asking what he meant.

Of course Harry had no objection. The back of his hand still hurt. Jörmungandr had swallowed the residual power of the dark magic. He also mentioned Umbridge's method of punishment.

"When we got to the office, she gave me a black feather pen. Whenever I wrote on the parchment, blood words would appear on the back of my hand, as if an invisible knife had carved the words on it, but they would heal quickly."

"Have you told Hermione and Ron?" Gloria asked him.

Harry shook his head. "If I tell them that I had a conflict with Umbridge, I won't be the only one to be detained."

He didn't want to implicate his good friend.

Then he noticed that Gloria's expression was cold.

Of course Gloria was angry. Detention should be reasonable and not harm the students themselves. What's more, Umbridge represented the Ministry of Magic and hurt the students wantonly.

"Leah, I can bear it. It will be over after Friday." Harry was a little worried when he saw her like this. "Everyone is busy. I don't want to trouble them because of this."

After living in the house provided by Gloria for a month, he saw with his own eyes the members of the Order of the Phoenix coming and going busyly. Each of them had an important responsibility, which was just a small matter compared to his.

Gloria said coldly: "Whether you are willing to tell them or not, I will use my own methods to curb this bad trend."
