Chapter 109 Part 2 Entering Hogwarts
Chapter 109 Part 2 Entering Hogwarts
Harry finally got his Firebolt back, and the boys got into a heated argument over which was better, Shadow Chaser or the Firebolt.
In the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, the people from the two houses did not argue directly, but their eyes were constantly fighting.
"Look at that Weasley." Draco turned his head and whispered in Gloria's ear.
It was a rare day for Lupin to give a theory class, but it was very interesting. However, Ron kept staring at Hermione with angry eyes. Hermione lowered her head and took notes quickly. Harry was hesitant to talk to the two of them.
"They're finally going to have a falling out?" Draco said. "Great!"
Gloria patted him and asked him to lower his voice. "I don't know."
I thought they had been quarreling for so long that their anger would soon subside, but I didn't expect it to get worse.
When the get out of class was over, Harry was taking his time packing up his books, while Ron and Hermione pretended not to see each other and left the classroom far away.
"Gloria..." Harry, despite the gazes of Draco and others that were almost piercing him, mustered up the courage to say, "Can I talk to you alone for a while?"
Gloria handed Draco her small schoolbag and gave him a reassuring look, "Sure."
The two of them reached the corner of the corridor. Harry hesitated for a moment before saying, "Gloria, did you also receive an anonymous gift?"
"Yes, I checked it, and it's fine, just like your Firebolt."
Harry's messy hair stuck up randomly. "Do you think... that was a gift from Sirius Black?"
"I don't know unless we find him." Gloria gave a different answer than when she faced Hermione. She saw Harry's dilemma. "If it was him, why did he give you such a precious gift? Doesn't he want to kill you?"
"So I always thought it wasn't him. Maybe my father has other good friends who are silently paying attention to me..."
"Maybe." Gloria calmly changed the subject, "What happened to Hermione and Ron? It seems that the conflict has deepened."
Harry had a headache when he mentioned this. "I just got the Firebolt back to the common room. We were all very happy together. Ron helped me carry the broom back to the dormitory. I was still talking about Hermione having too much homework when Ron showed up dragging a bed sheet with blood stains on it. There was also Crookshanks' hair at the scene."
"So Hermione's cat ate the mouse."
Harry wanted to nod, but his expression was hesitant. "I'm not sure. Apart from those few hairs, there's no other evidence. But Crookshanks did have a strong tendency to attack Scabbers before. We've had several arguments about this since the start of the school year."
Gloria shook her head. "There's really nothing we can do about it."
"Scabbers is very old, and Ron has never wanted to face his death." Harry sighed, "I also know that Hermione has tried hard to restrict Crookshanks, but cats can never be kept in a cage. I don't know if this is a complete breakup."
"Instead of worrying about that, just focus on your game tomorrow."
"Gloria, is Draco's Shadow Chaser really more powerful than the Firebolt?" Harry remembered that he had another question to ask.
"Really." Gloria nodded. "So it's best to keep silent in front of Draco. He treasures that broom and is reluctant to take it out to fly. He is too lazy to deal with the team's request to borrow it. For him who loves to show off, it is rare to be able to do this."
Harry: "..."
After finishing the conversation, Gloria did not return to the dormitory. Draco was waiting for her in the library.
·
Draco had decided not to watch the game yesterday, and Gloria spent the day with him in the library, finishing her homework ahead of time.
Gryffindor won the game without a doubt, and the students from the other three houses were all excited by the Firebolt's wonderful performance.
Gloria was sleeping soundly at night, when suddenly something propped her up and she sat up.
"Gloria, wake up, someone is coming."
It was Golinia's voice. She opened her eyes, wondering if she had overslept.
There were two knocks on the door, and Daphne called out from outside: "Gloria, wake up! The prefect wants all students to gather in the common room."
"I understand." Gloria's voice was a little hoarse, and she was not fully awake yet.
I looked at the time and it was past three in the morning. Gathering at this time... Sirius broke into the school again?
When Gloria came out dressed, Draco stood up and took her hand and sat down. "It seems like the whole school is awake."
"What happened?"
She looked around and saw that some students had not yet opened their eyes and were leaning on the sofa, drowsy.
Draco said, "I don't know. The two prefects woke up the whole dormitory. Professor Snape and Professor Babbling are in the boys' dormitory, and they seem to be searching for something."
"Professor Babel is here too?" Gloria guessed that Sirius might have broken into the school again.
After a long while, Professor Snape and Professor Babel appeared, bypassing the students and went to the girls' dormitory. Gloria touched her pocket and found three snakes were always by her side.
"What are you searching for? Did Potter lose his Firebolt?" Zabini asked sarcastically.
Pansy tried to smooth her hair. "Even if the broom was lost, there's no need to search in the middle of the night. There aren't many people in our school going to watch the game."
More than ten minutes later, the two professors came to the common room.
"I will tell Headmaster Dumbledore." Professor Babling was still wearing her oversized wizard's pointed hat. "I also need to assist the other headmasters of the colleges. I'll leave now."
Everyone watched quietly as the slender woman passed by, then turned to look at Professor Snape.
Draco asked directly, "Professor Snape, what happened? Searching the dormitories so late at night."
"The fugitive has broken into Hogwarts again." Professor Snape lowered his voice, "Not only that, he also broke into the Gryffindor dormitory with a knife."
Everyone in the audience gasped. This time, he even entered the dormitory.
"Is anyone... injured?" Gloria asked, without asking whether anyone was dead or not.
"No -" Snape said: "Mr. Weasley was lucky to wake up in time and look at the fugitive. The scream made the fugitive stop and run away."
"But isn't there a portrait guarding the Gryffindor dormitory? How could they let someone in without knowing the password?"
Someone asked the question that everyone was wondering about.
Professor Snape sneered at this. "Because Mr. Longbottom could never remember the password, he simply wrote a note with the password for the next week on it. Apparently the fugitive got the note."
All Slytherin students: "..."
"Alright, everyone stay in the common room. Prefects, keep watch. Don't return to your dormitories until the search is completely completed."
Professor Snape's black robe fluttered as he quickly disappeared into the common room.
Draco snorted: "Longbottom is really great--"
Gloria was also quite shocked. She knew Neville was not a smart student, but she didn't expect that the password also needed to be written down on paper.
Fortunately, Sirius didn't want to do anything to Harry, otherwise someone would have died tonight.
Such explosive news woke everyone up and they started discussing whether Sirius would be caught this time.
It was not until the early morning that Professor Snape arrived, exhausted, and brought the news that Black had escaped again.
