HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 110 Goodbye Roaring Letter

Chapter 110 Goodbye Roaring Letter

"I was sleeping comfortably, and then I heard the sound of tearing something, and then a cold wind blew in, and I woke up." Ron vividly recounted his experience last night in the auditorium. "At that moment, I thought it was a skeleton wearing a wig standing in front of my bed, holding such a long knife!"

Ron spread his arms and made an exaggerated expression, scaring the students around him so much that their faces turned pale.

"And then what?" a student, probably in the first grade, asked anxiously.

"Then... I yelled, and he immediately turned and ran away!" Ron said, "You all know what happened next. They all thought I had a nightmare. When the professor found out, he asked the portrait at the door, and Sir Cadogan confirmed that he had indeed come in."

As the person involved, Ron became famous overnight, even more famous than Harry's Firebolt.

Seeing how he enjoyed it, Gloria could only sigh that fools have good luck, but why did Sirius choose him?

"Look at that idiot. He hasn't gotten tired of talking after two days." Draco's tone was full of disdain for him. "He probably woke up just as Black started. His terrifying scream was too much for the fugitive to bear."

Crabbe and Goyle chuckled approvingly.

The Gryffindor behind them was complaining, "I can't stand those trolls. The Fat Lady wants a bodyguard, why does it have to be a troll?"

“It stinks so badly that I can’t even breathe when I pass by!”

"When can we evacuate?"

Several students looked gloomy, as they were badly smelled by the stench of the giant monster.

Gloria turned to look at Neville, who was lowering his head. Now everyone knew that Professor McGonagall had put him in detention and didn't even allow anyone to tell him the password. Neville could only wait for others to enter the dormitory before following them in.

Owls appeared, flapping their wings, and feathers fell from the sky onto the dining table.

"Howler!" someone shouted.

Everyone's eyes turned to look over, and they saw a red envelope tied to the claws of the barn owl in front of Neville.

"Neville, take it out and open it!" Ron reminded loudly, remembering what happened to him last year.

Neville quickly opened the envelope and rushed out of the hall like an arrow with a bomb in his hand. However, the letter might have been magicked to open at a fixed time, because just as he reached the door, he heard the roar of Neville's grandmother.

"I was so ashamed when I received the letter from the school! You couldn't even remember the password to the dormitory, and you almost killed your classmates. The Longbottom family has lost all their face. Why can't you learn a lesson? You don't have to come back for Easter. I don't want to see you. Stay in school and reflect on yourself!"

Draco released his hands from covering Gloria's ears, slapped the table and laughed. He had only seen two Howlers since school started, and both were received by Gryffindor students.

The owls on the dining table were frightened and flapped their wings and ran around. Gloria looked at Neville's almost curled up back and shook her head.

Soon, the good news that they could go to Hogsmeade village next week washed away the students' worries.

·

After a week, there were no more accidents in the school. Black seemed to have stayed away from Hogwarts again, and no one knew where he would break into next time.

The shadows seemed to lift, and Hogsmeade was bustling with activity.

Gloria didn't shop for long, and Draco wanted to buy her a small gift, so he went to the store to have a look first.

As usual, I went to the Wenrenju Quill Pen Shop to refill my ink. I saw Hermione, whom I hadn't seen alone for a long time. She bought ten bottles of ink. It seemed that she had a lot of homework.

"How are you lately?"

A normal greeting, Hermione's eyes reddened, "I'm fine, just a little too much homework."

The boss who was checking out the bill carefully took Hermione's money and quickly gave her the change.

Gloria helped put the ink into the bag. After hesitating for a long time, Hermione couldn't help but say, "Crookshanks seems to have done something wrong..."

Gloria said directly: "Harry told me that if you do something wrong, you should be brave enough to apologize. Whether Ron forgives you or not, you should show your attitude."

Hermione's eyes flinched for a second, but she quickly straightened up again, "I will. I have too many classes during this period, and something like this has happened. I have thought about letting my parents take care of Crookshanks during the summer vacation."

Gloria took a few bottles of ink from the counter and handed them to the boss along with the money, "Ron's rat is already very old, you can try to buy a new pet, such as a mouse?"

"In Ron's heart, Scabbers is different from other mice." Hermione bit her lip. "But I will apologize first, and then we can talk about other things."

The boss gave Gloria the change, and she packed her things. "That's good. I have to go find someone, you continue shopping."

Hermione seemed to have regained some energy and went out with her bag.

Gloria packed up her things and went out, looking at the bracelet. Draco's hair was mixed into the thread, so it could vaguely indicate his location.

Following the faint hint from the bracelet, she walked to the vicinity of the Shrieking Shack.

"Looking at your dream house? This one's a little too big for you, Weasle Bee."

As soon as I heard the extremely sarcastic tone, I knew it was Draco.

"I heard that your whole family sleeps in one room, is that true?"

Gloria walked up the slope and saw Draco and two bodyguards standing in front of Ron, who was alone. Behind Ron was the famous haunted house, the Shrieking Shack, where she had met Sirius last time.

Ron swayed from side to side nervously, as if looking for an opportunity to break out of the encirclement of the three people, "Shut up, Malfoy—"

"Oh - a bit fierce." Draco stared at Ron as if he was teasing something funny.

Crabbe and Goyle laughed arrogantly.

"There's one more." Jörmungandr reminded in a low voice.

Gloria understood what he meant and knew who the other person was. "Draco, have you bought your gift?"

The boy turned around and saw her, "I've bought it. Now ask Weasley some of my questions. For example, is his house really habitable?"

"I have a bad impression of this, and I haven't bought some things yet, so let's go." Gloria said, extending her hand.

Draco looked back at Ron, his eyes saying you're lucky, and left with two bodyguards.

Gloria held Draco's hand, stared behind Ron, and mouthed: Go back early.

After they left, Harry lifted a corner of the invisibility cloak and said, "Gloria knows I'm here. She was staring at me just now!"

Ron took it well, "She saw you in the bar last time."

Harry's tone was filled with regret. "Just now I wanted to get some mud and throw it on Malfoy's annoying face. Anyway, he can't see me with the invisibility cloak on. There's a haunted house nearby, so I can pretend to be a ghost to scare him--"

"You really should have done it earlier." Ron was even more regretful than him, "Stinky mud suits Malfoy best!"

Although he didn't do it, he seemed to have seen the funny look of Malfoy after being hit by the mud. He said after a while, "Let's go back. We've been out for long enough. Professor Snape seems to have noticed something. He was always hanging around the statue of the one-eyed witch. Let me check the map..."

The Marauder's Map shows that Professor Snape is still in his office, so we should take this opportunity to return to school.
