HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 223 Preventing Murder

Chapter 223 Preventing Murder

When Gloria arrived at the house in London, everyone was busy decorating for Christmas.

"Leah!"

Tonks dropped what she was holding and hugged her happily.

"Merry Christmas, Tonks."

Tonks patted her back affectionately, "I thought you wouldn't come. You said you were busy."

Gloria nodded. "I am indeed busy. Aren't you guys busy too?"

Tonks took her arm and walked to the stairs. "Harry and the others are upstairs. Thanks to Harry, no tragedy happened."

She didn't dare to think how heavy this Christmas would be if Mr. Weasley was not taken to the hospital in time.

Gloria hugged her back gently, and just as she stepped onto the stairs, she heard a creaking sound and quickly withdrew her foot.

"I'm so sorry." Mrs. Weasley stepped forward with an apologetic look on her face. "Those kids always want to come to the conference room to eavesdrop. In order to keep it secret, we cast a spell on the stairs. Whenever you step on them, there will be a sound."

Gloria laughed, "It's okay, it's quite interesting."

After saying that, she went upstairs.

When he opened the door, Ginny was sitting next to Harry, her right hand on his arm, looking concerned.

Several people were very happy to see her. Gloria found a seat by herself and said, "It's all over. Is Mr. Weasley okay?"

"He's out of danger. We've been to see him." Ron still had lingering fears when he mentioned this. They almost lost their father. "It's just that the bleeding from the wound is difficult to stop. The hospital is trying to find a solution."

Gloria nodded. "Don't worry. I gave them some materials for stopping bleeding and replenishing blood when I got back. It's enough for them to find a solution in time."

There was silence for a few seconds, and then Harry said, "Leah, this dream is different. I can feel myself turning into a snake and attacking Mr. Weasley."

"It's not you." Gloria said firmly, "You were forced to watch the whole thing because of the magical connection. It's not your fault."

Harry sat there in a daze, and the Weasley twins didn't understand what was going on.

Fred asked, "What connection?"

George followed up: "That sounds a bit strange."

"Scars." Gloria said, "Harry was the only one who survived the Killing Curse. The scar left by this powerful spell caused a strange phenomenon on Harry's body, forcing him to see some of the things Voldemort did."

Several people were confused by what they heard, but being associated with Voldemort was not a good thing.

Harry touched the back of his head with some fear. When Professor Moody mentioned possession, he immediately thought of Professor Quirrell who was possessed. He was afraid that one day he would touch a hideous face on the back of his head.

Ginny saw his action and immediately clapped his hands, "Don't scare yourself like that! I had a similar experience in my first year, and I'm fine now."

Harry put his hand down awkwardly.

Hermione looked troubled, "Is there a solution?"

From what Ron said about Harry's dream, it seemed much worse than last year.

"Principal Dumbledore should be able to find a way." Gloria said, "Like Ginny said, don't scare yourself."

Harry asked, "Are you coming at Christmas?"

"Probably not." She said, "I've been very busy lately and I have to go to St. Mungo's Hospital."

Fred was curious, "Visiting my father?"

George said, "Just come with us."

Gloria blinked twice. "No - not to visit Mr. Weasley, but I will donate to St. Mungo's Hospital regularly, so that the hospital can rest assured to accept patients with financial difficulties."

She continued: “The director asked me to go over at Christmas to see several long-term patients and the help they are receiving.”

Everyone was silent, fully realizing what it meant to be rich and inhumane.

Before Christmas, Gloria held a party and met new partners. They were soon placed in various departments because of Fudge's exclusion of dissidents.

She became more and more adept at doing these things.

On Christmas Day, I went to St. Mungo's Hospital as promised.

"Thank you very much for Miss Slytherin's donation, and the batch of materials that just arrived is very timely." The white-haired dean personally entertained her.

They reached the fifth floor, and Gloria looked around. "It is also my wish to help more wizards. Are Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom on this floor?"

"That's right." The dean smiled and nodded, "They are in Ward 49. Do you want to visit them?"

Gloria said: "Yes, they are my classmate's parents. They became like this for a great cause. I should visit them."

The dean took her to the door of the ward and said, "I won't bother you anymore."

After the people walked away, Gloria pushed open the door. There were still two patients in the ward, lying quietly on the beds.

I heard the door being pushed open and someone pulling open the curtain.

"Gloria, why are you here?" Neville asked with some surprise.

"I just happened to be at St. Mungo's today, so I came to take a look."

Neville said, "I just put a spell on mom and dad. They're better now."

Gloria walked closer and saw that the Longbottom couple's eyes were no longer dull. They looked different from the first time she saw them. They were still thin but looked much better.

"Although I can't speak yet, I can respond to everything in the outside world." Neville said with sadness and satisfaction, "I believe that one day they will remember who I am."

Gloria was also very pleased, saying that the spell was effective, "This is all thanks to you. You saved them with your love."

Neville scratched his hair in embarrassment. "Actually, Harry and his friends came here before, but I never told them about my family. It's not because I feel ashamed, but I just don't want people to feel sorry for me."

"I understand you," Gloria said. "You are as proud of your parents as I am."

So there is no need to feel pity.

Neville nodded vigorously, "That's it."

Gloria glanced over and saw one of the wizards talking to himself.

Seeing her staring at the wizard patient, Neville said, "This is Mr. Bode. He still thinks he is a teapot. No one can understand what he is saying."

Gloria was a little surprised that Bode was staying in this ward.

"Yeah……"

She walked to the bedside and listened carefully, but she really couldn't understand. She glanced around and saw the plant at the bedside.

It looks like Christmas cactus.

"Was this a gift from his family?" she asked.

"Uh-I'm not sure. The therapist just said that someone gave it to him, probably a family member."

The ugly tentacles of the plant swaying back and forth seemed a little strange as a Christmas present.

But there is no shortage of weirdos among wizards.

Gloria walked around to the head of the bed where the plant was placed, wanting to see if there was a greeting card next to it.

But when she got closer and realized something was wrong, she frowned and squatted down.

Gloria is not an expert in herbs, but she subconsciously remembers the distinctive features of plants, and it seems that one or two features of this Christmas cactus do not match.

"Gloria, don't touch it!" Neville said seriously.

He walked over quickly and carefully observed the plant, "This is not Christmas cactus..."

Neville was very interested in herbs, so he read a lot of related books. Professor Sprout also recommended several books to him, and he read one of the books which gave examples of distinguishing similar plants.

"This is a devil's snare, a very dangerous plant. Whatever touches it will be strangled."

Gloria frowned. Someone wanted to kill Bode.

"Neville, go find a healer, I'll watch the plant to avoid any accidents."

Neville didn't think much about it and ran out of the ward.
