Chapter 168 Christmas Party

Christmas came quietly, and Gloria took some time to open the gifts. This year, Sirius' gift was finally no longer exaggerated and luxurious jewelry, but an exquisite doll ball plate.

The surroundings were decorated with lifelike vegetation, and several pairs of dolls in formal dresses were dancing on the lawn. From time to time, a few mini fireworks shot into the air and exploded.

Gloria looked at it for a long time before putting it away. The gift Draco gave her was a pair of sapphire tassel earrings, which would be perfect for tonight's ball.

The whole school was filled with joy and everyone was looking forward to the dance at eight o'clock.

Gloria stopped studying that day and spent a good day with Draco. They visited almost the entire castle and even danced in the astronomy tower in advance.

Many girls started dressing up at four or five in the afternoon, but she didn't return to the dormitory until around six.

In the single dormitory, several house-elves used magic to help Gloria and make sure she could attend the event in a grand manner.

Draco had already changed into his tuxedo and was waiting in the lounge. He had no intention of paying attention to anyone who spoke to him.

As he paced back and forth, he heard people around him gasping for air and subconsciously looked towards the exit of the girls' dormitory.

Gloria wore a flowing black off-shoulder dress studded with diamonds. The long sheer sleeves were embellished with exquisite embroidery. Her light blonde hair was tied into a beautiful bun. The sapphire tassel earrings sparkled with tiny lights, making her neck and shoulders look even more perfect.

Her delicate facial features become more and more beautiful, and every time she dresses up for an appearance, she is breathtakingly beautiful.

Gloria also saw Draco. The beloved boy was wearing a white slim vest, a white bow tie and a black velvet robe. His platinum hair seemed to be shining.

The two smiled at each other, and held hands in the spotlight of everyone.

"You look beautiful today." Draco smiled and put his arm around her waist.

"You too." Gloria touched his cufflinks, which were the gift she had given him. "It's almost time, let's go."

Before leaving the lounge, Draco asked, "Is it cold?"

Gloria shook her head. "It's not cold. I cast a warming spell. It will be warm when we get to the auditorium."

She turned around and saw Zabini in a tuxedo, and next to him was Pansy in a ruffled pink dress. Theodore had a blank expression on his face, and next to him was Daphne in a purple dress, holding his arm with her head held high.

Goyle had not invited a partner, so Crabbe and Bulstrode were arm in arm with each other, as if they had been forced into a yellow dress.

Everyone tacitly agreed to let Gloria and Draco walk in front, and the group headed towards the auditorium in a mighty manner.

Coming up from the basement, many students waited for the oak door to open.

Gloria saw Harry and Ron at a glance. Harry looked fine, wearing a decent dark green dress robe that matched his eye color.

Ron was the most surprising. Although I had seen that dress on the train at the beginning of the semester, I was still surprised to see him wearing it. It was a purple robe with an exaggerated ruffled bow tie with fur edges.

Draco had already spotted Ron and sneered, obviously, without responding.

The lawn in front of the castle became a grotto filled with hundreds of fairies, sitting atop magical rose bushes and statues.

Krum and Karkaroff appeared. This highly-anticipated Quidditch star was accompanied by a girl in a blue dress. No one recognized her at first.

Gloria was standing at the front. When she heard the noise, she turned around and greeted the girl in the blue dress, "Hermione, you look so beautiful."

Tonight Hermione was wearing a light blue dress with a purple hue. Her messy brown hair became smooth and shiny, and was tied into an elegant bun.

"Thank you..." She smiled shyly, and her slightly large front teeth became normal size. "I spent a lot of time taking care of my hair."

Even Draco looked at her in surprise, then seeing Krum beside her, he snorted and turned around to wait to enter the auditorium.

"Warriors, come to the front." Professor McGonagall appeared. She was wearing a red tartan robe today, but the brim of her hat was decorated with an ugly wreath of thistles.

Gloria and Draco were closest to the door, and behind them appeared Fleur and her partner, Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain Roger Davis.

Harry straightened his chest awkwardly. Next to him stood Parvati, a beautiful girl wearing a pink robe and with golden braided hair. She was the prettiest girl in the fourth year of Gryffindor.

Harry also recognized Hermione, and Hermione greeted him shyly, while he opened his mouth in surprise. Parvati stared at her with suspicion, as if she couldn't believe it.

The other students went into the hall first, and Hermione encountered a lot of malicious looks. After all, many girls liked Krum over the course of the semester.

When everyone went in and took their seats, Professor McGonagall led the warriors into the auditorium, and warm applause broke out.

The walls of the auditorium were covered with shining silver frost, and the ceiling was no longer gloomy clouds, but a starry night sky, hung with hundreds of wreaths made of mistletoe and ivy.

The long dining table was gone, and a hundred small tables with lanterns lit were scattered around the auditorium.

The warriors were seated at a large round table where the referees were already sitting. When Karkaroff saw Hermione next to Krum, his expression slowly changed.

Draco sat to Gloria's right and Hermione to her left.

There was no food on the table, but there was a menu in front of everyone. Dumbledore picked up the menu, looked through it carefully, and said to the plate, "Pork chop."

The steaming pork chops appeared on the plate and everyone immediately understood how to cook them.

The menu is very rich, and it includes commonly eaten foods in northern Europe and classic French food. In addition, there are also delicacies from other countries. The variety of items is dazzling.

For this Christmas party, Headmaster Dumbledore also agreed to allow several elves from Gloria's family to enter the kitchen.

Gloria was used to these delicacies, so she ordered quickly and chatted with Draco while eating.

Krum and Hermione talked about school. Krum felt that their school was not as big as Hogwarts, but they could fly freely.

Karkaroff interrupted, "Well Viktor, if you leak any more, your friend might be able to guess Durmstrang's location."

Headmaster Dumbledore's blue eyes sparkled. "Igor, this is just normal communication between students. This will make people think that you don't welcome everyone to visit."

The two began a conversation about the school's secrets, and Dumbledore also told them about the newly discovered secret room.

Draco leaned over to Gloria's ear and said, "It's a good thing I didn't go to that school. It sounds boring."

He heard everything Krum said. What's the point of a school that's not big but only big outside?

"I think so too," Gloria said, "and I'm very interested in the room the principal mentioned."

The secrets of Hogwarts have been accumulated over the years. When the castle was first built, Slytherin had not only a secret room, but also a secret passage to help students get to the classroom quickly.

As for the other three colleges, they had no idea what secret rooms and passages were there.

Fleur began to criticize the dress of Hogwarts with Roger Davis beside her. Roger had no intention of defending the school at all, but just stared at the beautiful girl beside him obsessively.

Talk about how beautiful the ice sculptures are at Beauxbatons for Christmas, the food is top notch, and there's a fairy choir, unlike Hogwarts which has those ugly suits of armor and mischievous ghosts singing rude lyrics inside the armor.

"If any mischievous ghost dares to enter Beauxbatons, they will definitely be driven out like this," she said, slapping the table.
