HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 181: The Hedges of the Court

Chapter 181: The Hedges of the Court

Without Rita Skeeter saying the exact name of the deceived student, the Weasley twins took the initiative to talk about their experience of being deceived that night, and were glad that Gloria saw through the fake gold coins.

Now Bagman was blocked by the angry victims and couldn't escape for the time being.

Fortunately, the new director of the Sports Department was elected before the end of May.

The class ended that day, Professor Snape called Gloria and Draco stopped too.

The other students have left the classroom one after another.

"Go to the Quidditch pitch at nine tonight. The new head of department, Mr. Jones, will tell you what the third task is."

After saying this, he turned around and left, his black robe quickly disappearing around the corner.

"Nine o'clock?" Draco was puzzled. "Such a late time."

Gloria looked at the dark weather outside and said, "No matter what, we'll know at nine o'clock."

Soon all the Slytherin house knew that the details of the competition would be announced tonight, and they all crowded in the lounge, waiting for people to come back and find out.

Gloria set off with twenty minutes left until nine o'clock.

I walked up to the first floor and met Harry coming out of the hallway.

"Leah—" Harry ran over and walked alongside her, "I'm a little nervous."

After the second project was completed, he spent his time studying and practicing various spells. Of course, the most effective ones were the Disarmament Spell and the Stunning Spell.

"There's no point in being nervous. What's important is to learn the spell well."

Harry: "..."

I followed the dark lawn to the Quidditch pitch, but it was different.

"what happened?"

Harry loved Quidditch and reacted more to the renovation of the court than Gloria did.

At this time, many long low walls were built on the court. The layout of the low walls was intricate and winding in all directions, just like a maze.

Harry walked closer and observed the low walls. He found that they were hedges. "Why so many hedges?"

"It's obviously a maze." Gloria looked around.

"Come here--" the person standing in the middle of the court shouted at them.

Compared to Bagman's laziness and big smile all day long, Mr. Jones in front of him is handsome and serious. He doesn't look like an official from the Sports Department, but more like someone from the Law Enforcement Department.

Fleur and Krum were already standing there, waiting for them to approach. Fleur gave Harry a bright smile. Ever since Harry saved her sister, Fleur's attitude towards him had changed drastically.

Mr Jones deadpanned, “I’m sure you can guess what the final playing field is when you see these hedges.”

"The maze," Krum replied gruffly.

"That's right." Mr. Jones said, "This place will become a maze in a month, and the Triwizard Cup will be placed in the center of the maze. The warrior who touches it first will get full marks."

Immediately, all three warriors looked at Gloria. Her scores in the first two competitions were too high, and she was the only one who broke through 90 points.

Furong asked, "As long as we reach the center of the maze?"

"Of course not only that. Professor Hagrid of Hogwarts provided many magical creatures." Mr. Jones said, "In addition to magical creatures, there are also some spells that must be removed, questions that test thinking, etc. The order of entering the maze is linked to the score. Miss Slytherin has a total score of 92, so she will enter first, followed by Mr. Potter, Mr. Krum, and Ms. Delacour in order."

Gloria immediately thought of the skrewts and wondered what other creatures Hagrid could provide.

"Anything else you want to ask?" Mr. Jones glanced at the four men. The warriors all shook their heads. He said in a deep voice, "I'll leave first. Get ready."

Before leaving, he glanced at Gloria inconspicuously. He had heard a lot about Gloria's performance in the competition from the former director Bagman. She was worthy of being the heir of Slytherin, and he had made the right choice in who to follow.

Gloria did not leave immediately, but glanced around the hedge. The layout here was not yet completely completed. At least there was a lot of empty space in the middle.

She roughly memorized the scene, and when she left the stadium she saw Krum leading Harry into the Forbidden Forest. For safety reasons she followed them silently.

Finally, the two men stopped not far from the stable, and the horses pulling the carriage drank wine from the trough.

It was too dark in the Forbidden Forest, so they didn't notice Gloria. She leaned against a tree, blocking her figure while still being able to hear their conversation.

"I've observed, what is your relationship with Hermione?" Krum asked seriously. Due to his poor English, his accent was awkward when he pronounced Hermione's name.

"Huh?" Harry didn't understand the situation.

"I read the report saying you and Hermione were a couple, but I didn't believe it at the time..." Krum paused. Now he was not sure.

After the second game, he wanted to take the opportunity to get closer to Hermione in the viewing stand, but the girl's mind was on Harry. She cheered and celebrated for Harry and ignored him.

These actions made Krum think more.

"She mentioned you often."

Harry was completely stunned. From the first day he met Hermione, he never thought that he would become her lover. In his heart, Hermione was more like a strong sister.

"No! Absolutely not!" Harry denied firmly, "We are good friends. We have known each other since the first grade and have been good friends until now. There is absolutely no feeling other than friendship... maybe a little bit of kinship."

Krum stared at him doubtfully, wondering how credible Harry's words were.

"He's telling the truth." Gloria couldn't bear to listen any longer and spoke slowly behind the tree.

The two men drew their wands in fear, and she slowly walked out from behind the tree.

When they were close enough to see who it was, Harry said, "Leah?"

"It's me." Gloria said, "I was worried when I saw you guys coming to the Forbidden Forest. And Harry has someone he likes, but it's not Hermione, it's a very beautiful girl from another college."

Harry blushed with embarrassment, and Krum subconsciously asked, "Who?"

Gloria shrugged. "I can't tell you that."

Krum relaxed and put his wand away, "I'm... just a little distressed. Hermione hasn't agreed to come to my house yet. I really want her to come."

That's why he wanted to find out the reason why Hermione had not agreed, so he found Harry. After all, they rarely met at other times, and he didn't want to call him away in front of Hermione.

"You should have a good talk with Hermione about this." Gloria looked at Harry, "The Forbidden Forest is very dangerous. Don't come here again next time."

Krum looked at them and said, "Sorry, I have to go back first."

He walked away from the Forbidden Forest. Gloria saw him walking away before she said to Harry, "I told you to spend more time with Ron and the others and try not to get in touch with people who just came to school this year."

Harry was like a child who had done something wrong, at a loss in front of her, "I think Krum has a crush on Hermione, not like someone who sneaked in..." Facing Gloria's serious gaze, he lowered his head, "I'm sorry, I won't do it again next time."

"Let's go." Gloria made way for him to go ahead. "Harry, you are very important. Apart from your identity as the savior, Sirius, Headmaster Dumbledore, Hagrid, the Weasley family and others all want you to be safe."

"I know." Harry stepped forward firmly.
