Chapter 271: Victory in Diagon Alley

Diagon Alley

Some shops here have closed, but most of the shops are still open.

There were no customers on the streets at night, some shops had closed, and the rest were also finishing up.

Several masked Death Eaters emerged silently from Knockturn Alley and entered Diagon Alley.

"It's just two people we could have come here earlier." A voice complained.

"The Bones mission failed. Although the follow-up mission was successful, the Dark Lord said that these two people are very important. If we fail..."

They shut up and split into two groups, one heading to Ollivander's Wand Shop and the other to Florin Fosco's Ice Cream Parlor.

The Death Eaters followed the sound and soon saw someone between two cabinets.

Ollivander felt the gaze, raised his eyes to look at the shining masks, and immediately remembered Gloria's words.

He turned around and tried to run away, but one of the Death Eaters Apparated to him and grabbed him by the collar.

"Don't move. The Dark Lord wants to ask you something."

Ollivander said nothing, and then he heard the sound of glass breaking.

Several Death Eaters turned to see what it was, only to see a huge shadow approaching, and before they could cast a spell, it was smashed away.

The next moment, yellow snake eyes appeared behind Ollivander, and the Death Eater who caught him was immediately petrified.

The huge noise attracted the attention of other people, including customers who had not yet left the shop, especially the Weasley twins' trick shop.

After making sure Ollivander was safe, Basilius rushed outside.

One of the fallen figures let out a beastly roar, its mouth opened wide to reveal sharp teeth.

But soon his roar came to an abrupt halt, as he saw the appearance of Bagilisk clearly.

The dark green scales made the huge snake body even more terrifying in the night. Fenrir Greyback was frightened. Even without seeing the whole picture, he knew that this creature was not to be trifled with.

But this mission is important and he can't fail!

If successful, the Dark Lord would reward him with the robes of a Death Eater.

He roared to give himself courage, but the nimble snake's tail struck him first, knocking him flying and embedding him in the wall.

Ollivander was able to escape after taking off his robes, shouting to everyone around him, "Close your eyes!"

Bagirisk came out of the store, and several Death Eaters who had fallen to the ground and had not yet recovered were petrified like the man in the store when they met the pair of yellow animal eyes.

He did not stop and rushed to another store.

Soon there was also some unusual movement in the ice cream shop, but no one knew what happened inside.

The Death Eaters who captured Fusco were about to go out and join another group, but they ran into a giant snake and several of them were petrified on the spot.

But...Mr. Fusco didn't escape either.

Ollivander closed his eyes and listened for a while, making sure there was no other movement before he opened his eyes carefully.

The transparent glass he used to display the magic wand shattered all over the floor, and the magic wand flew away.

"You mean, Miss Slytherin let this snake stay here?" The Auror who knew the situation asked in disbelief.

That Slytherin lady is still a student, yet she cares so much about Diagon Alley.

"Because she has an investment store here, and I'm the oldest, so I placed the snake here." Ollivander didn't explain the reason.

"Then... this snake caused some innocent people to be petrified. I'm afraid we have to..."

"No!" Ollivander quickly turned sideways to block the cushion. "A petrified person can recover by taking a potion. I can't let you take him away. This is Miss Slytherin's snake. If you do something, I can't be sure if the snake will resist."

The Auror Captain stopped the subordinate who was speaking and said, "We understand. We will thank Miss Slytherin for this. Her snake assisted the Ministry of Magic in capturing seven Death Eaters, one of whom was the notorious werewolf Fenrir Greyback."

He continued, "Do you know Miss Slytherin's address? We need to send a letter."

Ollivander said, "That might be a question for Dumbledore."

The Aurors asked no more questions and took away the unconscious Greyback and the petrified Death Eater, while the implicated people were sent to St. Mungo's Hospital.

The reporter from the Daily Prophet got the news from somewhere and showed up here in a flash.

It just so happens that there is no door in the wand shop, so people can come and go freely.

They seized the opportunity to conduct the interview, but unfortunately they failed to capture the scene of the Death Eaters being captured.
