Chapter 1750 - 1747: Get Out Here and Die
Chapter 1750 - 1747: Get Out Here and Die
Xu Wendong’s figure transformed into a stream of light in the night sky, disappearing in an instant.
Hu Jie stood in place, unable to regain his composure for a long time, his heart swirling with indescribable shock and confusion.
"A Foundation Establishment Cultivator... how could he possibly perform sword flight?" he muttered to himself, beads of cold sweat breaking out on his forehead, as if everything he had just witnessed was an illusion.
Yet, the lingering trace of sharp sword Qi in the air reminded him that all of this was real.
"Could it be... he’s hiding his cultivation level?" Hu Jie frowned deeply, a faint unease rising in his heart.
He recalled Xu Wendong’s gaze from before, that cold as a knife look, as if it could penetrate one’s soul, sending a chill down his spine.
"No, even if he is hiding his cultivation level, it couldn’t escape my perception." Hu Jie shook his head, feeling even more puzzled.
As a Golden Core Realm Cultivator, he was extremely sensitive to spiritual power, but just now when facing Xu Wendong, he did not detect anything unusual.
"Unless... he cultivated some secret technique, or..." Suddenly, a possibility dawned on Hu Jie, his pupils contracting sharply: "He’s not a Foundation Establishment Cultivator at all, but exists at a higher realm!"
With this thought, Hu Jie’s heartbeat accelerated dramatically, a chill running down his spine.
If Xu Wendong truly concealed his strength, then what realm could his cultivation have reached?
Nascent Soul Stage?
Emergence Stage? Or even... higher?
"No wonder he dares to venture alone to Xuanyin Sect..." Hu Jie took a deep breath, striving to calm the shock within.
He suddenly realized that he might have underestimated Xu Wendong, and also underestimated Ye Qiu’s significance in his heart.
He looked up towards the night sky, where the stars dimmed, clouds thickly gathering as if heralding an impending storm.
Meanwhile.
Xu Wendong continued on, performing sword flight with speed like lightning.
Though his current cultivation level is only at the Foundation Establishment Stage.
There’s one thing not to be forgotten.
He was once a god!
Even with a drastic drop in cultivation, he could still perform sword flight!
The night wind howled past, making his robes flutter loudly.
His gaze was cold and determined, seemed to pierce through layers of clouds, directly towards Tianyin Mountain.
"Xuanyin Sect... Su Xinghe..." Xu Wendong murmured softly, his eyes murderous.
His mind constantly replayed the image of Ye Qiu, the girl who always wore a gentle smile, now plunged into danger because of him.
"Ye Qiu, wait for me." Xu Wendong clenched his fist, his knuckles slightly pale from exertion.
His heart was filled with guilt and anger, eager to reach Tianyin Mountain immediately and rescue Ye Qiu from Su Xinghe’s grasp.
However, he also knew, Xuanyin Sect is not to be underestimated.
As the top Immortal Sect in the province, its foundation is deep and strong.
Even he dared not be careless in the slightest.
It’s not that he’s afraid of Xuanyin Sect, but fearful of any harm befalling Ye Qiu!
If that were to happen, he would carry regret for a lifetime!
------
Tianyin Mountain, Xuanyin Sect.
The night was deep, mist swirling between the mountains, seemingly cloaking the entire peak in a thin veil. The sect’s mountain gate towered imposingly, flanked by two enormous and terrifying stone statues, as if guarding this ancient Immortal Sect.
Within the mountain gate, lights shining brightly, disciples either cultivating or conversing, presenting a harmonious scene.
However, beneath this calm facade, dark currents were stirring.
Deep within the sect, in a secluded courtyard.
Ye Qiu sat quietly by the window, her gaze blankly staring at the moonlight outdoors.
Her complexion was pale, her eyes full of exhaustion and despair.
Since being brought to the Xuanyin Sect, she had been confined to this courtyard, losing her freedom.
Suddenly, faint footsteps broke the nocturnal silence from outside the courtyard.
Ye Qiu’s heart tightened, quickly standing up, warily gazing towards the doorway.
"Who?" she asked softly, her voice carrying a trace of tremor.
A low and cold voice responded from outside the door: "Miss Ye, it’s me."
Ye Qiu’s face instantly turned pale.
She recognized the voice — Xuanyin Sect’s Third Elder, Su Xinghe.
The door was gently pushed open, Su Xinghe’s figure appearing in the entrance.
He wore a black robe, its cuffs embroidered with dark golden runes, looking mysterious and solemn.
His face was stern, a sinister aura emanating from his brows, his gaze sharp as a blade, fixed directly on Ye Qiu.
"Elder Su..." Ye Qiu suppressed her inner fear, speaking softly: "So late at night, is there something you need?"
Su Xinghe walked calmly into the room, his gaze surveying Ye Qiu, a faint, meaningful smile appearing on his lips: "Miss Ye, why bother asking knowingly? Tonight, I’m here to engage in dual cultivation with you."
Ye Qiu’s body trembled violently, as though washed over by a wave of cold, like plunging into an icy cave.
Her fingers tightly clutched the hem of her clothing, her knuckles turning white from the pressure, her voice quivering: "Elder Su, I... I’m not ready yet..."
Su Xinghe chuckled lightly, his voice tinged with sarcasm: "Ready?"
"Miss Ye, do you think this is child’s play? The rules of Xuanyin Sect don’t allow you to falter."
With each word, he took deliberate steps towards Ye Qiu, each step seeming to tread on her heart, causing her breathing to become rapid, barely able to stand.
"Elder Su, please give me some more time..." Ye Qiu stepped back, her voice pleading, "I... I’m really not ready yet..."
Su Xinghe’s gaze abruptly turned cold, his tone carrying unquestionable authority: "Miss Ye, you should know your destiny never belonged to yourself."
"Since you’ve agreed to the conditions, you should fulfill your promise. Otherwise..."
He paused, his voice turning icy cold: "You should know the consequences of defying me."
Ye Qiu’s face grew even paler, her eyes filled with despair.
She knew she had no path of retreat.
Su Xinghe’s power is immeasurable, even the other elders within Xuanyin Sect wouldn’t dare to easily provoke him.
How could she, an outsider, possibly resist?
"Elder Su..." Ye Qiu’s voice was as faint as a mosquito’s whine, a glimmer of tears in her eyes: "I... I understand."
Su Xinghe nodded in satisfaction, his expression slightly less cold.
He slowly approached Ye Qiu, gently lifting her chin, his gaze lingering on her face for a moment, speaking softly: "Miss Ye, don’t worry, you won’t be neglected."
"As long as you behave, you’ll naturally have a place in Xuanyin Sect in the future."
Ye Qiu’s body trembled slightly, her eyes full of humiliation and helplessness.
She lowered her head, not daring to make eye contact with Su Xinghe, her voice weak: "Thank you, Elder Su..."
Su Xinghe laughed softly, releasing his hand, then turning towards the bed in the center of the room.
With a flick of his sleeve, the bed’s canopy moved of its own accord, gently descending, enveloping the entire bed in a haze.
"Miss Ye, come over." Su Xinghe’s voice emanated from behind the canopy, carrying a commanding tone.
Ye Qiu stood in place, her legs feeling as heavy as if filled with lead, unable to move.
"Miss Ye, don’t make me wait too long." Su Xinghe’s voice echoed again, laced with impatience.
Ye Qiu steeled herself against her fear and made her way towards the bed.
But just at that moment.
The night sky suddenly resounded with a thunderous voice: "Su Xinghe, come out and die!"
