Chapter 7 Leisurely
Chapter 7 Leisurely
Yun Dan and Xiao Yue were together, followed by several other children of similar age, and they all made their way to the fields.
When Yun Dan arrived at her family's field and saw her parents working hard in the fields, she couldn't help but sigh at how hard people in ancient times worked.
In ancient times, without the aid of modern machinery, everyone had to do everything themselves.
Yun Dan quickly walked to her parents' side and called out in a clear voice, "Dad, Mom!"
Hearing the sound, Lin's parents looked over and saw Lin Yundan. They quickly said, "Little girl, you're not fully recovered yet. Don't overdo it with playing. Take a rest if you're tired."
Yun Dan obediently replied, "Okay."
Looking at the vast expanse of lush greenery before her, Yun Dan's mood instantly brightened.
She remembered that it was already August, and in another month the whole village would be busy.
From what I remember, it rarely snows in this area; I recall only three or four times, and the snowfall was never heavy.
Based on this, this place should be located near the south.
Yun Dan stood there in a daze, pondering something in her mind.
I'm still too young and weak. I only have space, but I've only just begun to cultivate martial arts, and my internal energy is only as thin as a hair. I can't do anything at all.
As a modern city dweller, I came to this ancient rural village and saw the fields stretching as far as the eye could see.
All I can think of is:
"I don't know how to farm either."
Just as Yun Dan was thinking about how to make her life here better in the future.
Xiaoyue walked over and said, "Xiaoya, are you tired? How about we go to the foot of the mountain and pick some wild vegetables?"
Yun Dan, being a modern person, had grown up in the city. She had no idea what wild vegetables were and agreed without a second thought.
So, Yun Dan followed Xiao Yue to the foot of the mountain. Looking at the wild vegetables covering the ground, Yun Dan had no idea which ones were edible.
"Xiaoyue, are all these wild vegetables edible?" Yundan asked, pointing to the various plants on the ground.
Xiaoyue felt that this was strange. Didn't they usually come out to pick them together?
Without much thought, he patiently explained to Yundan the characteristics and ways to eat various wild vegetables.
Although Yun Dan retains the original owner's memories, she currently presents herself as a modern person and lives her life as before.
Yun Dan listened attentively, silently memorizing the information in her mind.
Suddenly, Yun Dan discovered a wild vegetable she had never seen before. Its leaves had a peculiar shape and were very brightly colored.
"Xiaoyue, I've never seen this wild vegetable before. Is it edible?" Yundan asked curiously.
Xiaoyue looked at the wild vegetable and shook her head: "I don't recognize this either. It's probably some kind of special variety. We'd better not try it to avoid poisoning."
Yun Dan nodded. She decided to ask the village elders when she got back, or consult some relevant books if she had the chance in the future.
Just then, Yun Dan's gaze was drawn to the fruit on a tree not far away.
The fruit of that tree looked like grapes, but it was different.
"Xiaoyue, look at those fruits over there, they look delicious," Yundan said, pointing to the tree.
Xiaoyue looked in the direction Yundan was pointing, a hint of doubt flashing in her eyes: "I've never seen this kind of fruit before, but it does look very tempting. Why don't we pick one and try it?"
Yun Dan hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded. She carefully climbed the tree and picked a fruit.
Yun Dan followed behind Xiao Yue, asking questions and picking vegetables along the way, and learned a lot about wild vegetables from Xiao Yue.
Before they knew it, the two of them had been playing and picking for more than an hour.

When Yundan returned home, she saw her older sister busy feeding several hens, and called out, "Big sister."
Then she saw her grandparents talking about something.
Yun Dan saw that the two elderly people were actually only in their early fifties, but in ancient times they would have been considered very old.
He politely greeted the two elderly people one by one.
As she entered the kitchen, she saw her mother and aunt cooking. She greeted them in return, and they responded to her greeting.
Aunt asked with concern, "Little girl, your head injury has just healed. How are you feeling now? Does it still hurt?"
Yun Dan was touched as she watched her aunt still busy at work, yet still concerned about her.
She replied, "Auntie, I'm all better now, it doesn't hurt anymore."
"Okay, that's good. Take care of yourself and don't go too crazy."
Madam Su chimed in, "Your aunt is right. It's fine to have fun, but health is the most important thing. You need to get some rest."
Yun Dan nodded quickly and said, "Yes, I know. Mother, is there anything I can help you with?"
"No need, no need, you go and rest, dinner will be ready soon." Yun Dan replied and walked out of the kitchen.
Upon entering the main room, Yundan chatted with her grandparents for a while.
The two elderly people were also concerned about whether Yun Dan's head was still hurting.
Before long, the food was ready and we could eat.
Like most families, Yun Dan's family also eats three meals a day.
After finishing their meal, they cleaned up the dishes together. Yun Dan wanted to help, but the adults told her to go and rest.
Helpless, I reluctantly returned to my room, and seeing the room still gave me a headache.
As a modern person, only three words come to mind: dirty, messy, and chaotic.
He rolled up his sleeves, went out of the room, picked up a small wooden bucket to fill with water, a rag, and a broom, and went back to the room to tidy up.
A sudden noise from the room alerted the family. Thinking something had happened to Yundan again, they rushed over to check and found her tidying up the room.
Although Su was worried that her daughter was doing such strenuous work so soon after her injury, she felt both sorry for her and angry.
"You silly girl, your head has just healed, what are you doing tidying up the room?"
"Oh, Mom, I'm fine. I just thought the room was too messy, so I tidied it up."
Yun Dan said with a smile, "Besides, I can't just lie around all the time, I have to find something to do."
Mrs. Su shook her head helplessly. "You child, why did you have to do this now of all times? Fine, since you insist on doing it, then do it slowly."
But if you get tired, stop right away, okay?
Don't say that Xiaoya's mother and the others aren't helping. Everyone has their own things to do, so let Xiaoya take her time to sort things out.
"Okay, Mom," Yun Dan readily agreed, then continued with her work.
When the older sister saw that the little girl was busy, she also joined in to help.
"Big sister, I can manage on my own."
"It's alright, I don't have anything to do right now anyway, so I'll help you tidy up."
"Thank you so much, ma'am. We'll tidy up your room after we're done with our work."
The two of them spent almost an hour cleaning, and finally the room was clean and tidy.
She looked at the clean and tidy room with satisfaction, and her mood became cheerful.
At this moment, Madam Su walked in. Seeing the tidy room, a satisfied smile appeared on her face. "Hmm, not bad, not bad. This room looks much more comfortable."
Yun Dan chuckled, "Hehe, it's fortunate that my older sister helped out, otherwise it wouldn't have been finished so quickly."
He glanced at the older sister, then took her hand and said, "Thank you, older sister."
"You silly girl, I don't know what's wrong with you today, you're cleaning the room for no reason."
Now that I've finished packing, I'm going back to rest.
"Auntie, I'll head back now."
"Together we will."
Su told Yun Dan to rest well, and then left with Daya.
After watching the two leave, Yun Dan felt utterly bored.
He sat on the bed, quietly cultivating like a statue.
Time slips away unnoticed, and another day passes by swiftly like a flowing stream.
