Chapter 176 How was the trial run?
There was a few seconds of silence on the other end of the phone.
"Too much?" Yu Heng pressed.
"I can't say it..." Zhou Wanyi's voice was almost a whisper.
Yu Heng switched the phone to his other hand, pushed open the balcony door, and went outside.
The morning breeze was a bit chilly, and he leaned against the railing.
"Is it too comfortable?" he asked directly.
I heard Zhou Wanyi gasp for breath on the other end of the phone, followed by a long silence.
"Hmm..." Finally, there was a response so soft it was almost inaudible.
"Then keep it and use it," Yu Heng said. "I'll send you a new one to try when it comes out."
"No..." Zhou Wanyi said immediately, but then paused.
"What's wrong?" Yu Heng asked.
"Mom...Mom will find out." Zhou Wanyi made an excuse, her voice sounding a little flustered.
"Just hide it well," Yu Heng said. "In the bedside table drawer, or at the very back of the wardrobe. Mom won't go through your things."
Zhou Wanyi fell silent.
"Sister-in-law?" Yu Heng called out again.
"Um……"
"How long did it take?" Yu Heng asked.
Zhou Wanyi's face was burning hot. How could she ask such a question so naturally?
"Just... a little while," she mumbled.
"How long is 'a while'?" Yu Heng pressed her, "Ten minutes? Twenty minutes?"
Zhou Wanyi gripped her phone tightly. She couldn't remember clearly, only that when she was lying on the bed panting, she glanced at her phone and it was almost two o'clock.
"Using it the same way as last time?" Yu Heng continued, "That's the most tiring."
"Xiao Heng..." Zhou Wanyi murmured, "Don't say anymore..."
"Okay, I won't say anything more," Yu Heng said. "So, if there's nothing else, I'll hang up?"
"Wait a minute," Zhou Wanyi blurted out.
"Um?"
"You..." She bit her lip, "Can this business really make money?"
"Yes," Yu Heng said. "You've used the samples; what did you think?"
Zhou Wanyi blushed again. Why did you ask again?
"It's...it's alright," she said.
"That's fine then," Yu Heng said. "I'll send you a user survey questionnaire via WeChat later, and you can fill it out."
Do I need to fill out a questionnaire?
Zhou Wanyi's eyes widened.
"Is it mandatory to fill this out?" she asked.
"I need your help," Yu Heng said. "The more data we have, the clearer the direction for product improvement."
Actually, this questionnaire was specially prepared, and the questions on it are all things that could appear in a normal questionnaire.
"Okay..." Zhou Wanyi sighed.
"Then I'll hang up," Yu Heng said.
"Um."
After hanging up the phone, Yu Heng put away his phone and went back to his bedroom.
Bai Xinran had already changed her clothes and was sitting on the edge of the bed folding the quilt.
Yu Heng put his phone back on the bedside table and asked with a smile, "Did you hear that?"
Bai Xinran paused for a moment, then continued to fluff the pillow: "I heard you a little."
She did hear it; the balcony door wasn't closed properly, and Yu Heng's voice drifted in intermittently.
It's comfortable, it's a new product, it's a questionnaire and stuff; you can guess the general idea by piecing it together.
But the person opposite him is his sister-in-law?
"What do you want to ask?" Yu Heng walked to the wardrobe, opened the door, and looked for clothes.
Bai Xinran pursed her lips. She did want to ask, but she didn't know how to bring it up.
Let me ask you directly what your relationship is with your sister-in-law.
That's gone too far.
"What did she say?" Bai Xinran chose a compromise.
Yu Heng pulled out a black hoodie and took it off the hanger: "She said it's okay."
He pulled the hoodie over his head and tugged at the hem.
Bai Xinran walked over and naturally straightened his collar.
"What about the questionnaire?" she asked. "Do I have to fill it out too?"
"Haha, no need for that," Yu Heng turned around, "I can see your feedback with my own eyes."
Bai Xinran pursed her lips, a little embarrassed, and didn't say anything more.
Yu Heng narrowed his eyes and said, "Aren't you curious about anything else?"
"Is this your XP?" Bai Xinran was genuinely curious.
"Not really?" Yu Heng chuckled. "But it is certainly more exciting."
"That's a pity," Bai Xinran said, pursing her lips.
"What's a pity?" Yu Heng raised an eyebrow.
"It's a pity I don't have any sisters or anything," Bai Xinran said very seriously, "I can't fulfill your wish."
"Hahaha!" Yu Heng laughed and pulled her close. "You're such a good girl."
She snuggled against Yu Heng and said, "Thank you, Master."
Yu Heng released her, and Bai Xinran walked to the dressing table, tidied her hair, and could be seen putting on her pants in the mirror.
"How's your preparation for the weekend coming along?" Yu Heng suddenly asked.
"Everything that needs to be prepared is ready." She turned around. "I've memorized the procedures and everything. I'll do a good job."
The word "recognition ceremony" had been on her mind for days.
Yu Heng walked behind her, put his hand on her shoulder, and their eyes met in the mirror.
"Nervous?" he asked.
"A little," Bai Xinran said honestly.
"It's normal." Yu Heng pressed his fingers on her shoulder. "It's the first time, so it's always like this. But hopefully this will be the only time."
Bai Xinran looked into Yu Heng's eyes in the mirror and nodded: "I will, I definitely will."
Yu Heng smiled, turned around to get his phone, and Bai Xinran continued combing her hair, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye as he scrolled through WeChat.
"What are we having for lunch?" Yu Heng asked as he typed.
"There's still beef in the fridge," Bai Xinran put down the comb. "Could we stir-fry some beef with green peppers and make a soup?"
"Okay," Yu Heng said. "Will Yue Ling be back at noon?"
"She said this morning that she was going to have lunch with her roommate."
"Then the three of us will eat." Yu Heng put his phone back in his pocket. "Mengqi will be here in a bit."
Bai Xinran paused in her work: "She's here for dinner?"
"Okay." Yu Heng walked to the door. "I'll go downstairs and wait for her. You can come down when you're done getting ready."
"it is good."
The door closed, and Bai Xinran looked at herself in the mirror again.
Zhou Mengqi was coming, and she couldn't quite describe her feelings. More and more people were getting into the house.
It's as big as its owner's heart, but no matter how many people are inside, there will always be a place for everyone.
Moreover, she is special; her owner says she is the most talented.
---
When Zhou Mengqi arrived, she was carrying a bag of oranges.
"I bought it on the way," she said, placing the bag on the table. "It's so sweet."
Yu Heng was sitting on the sofa looking at his phone when he glanced up and said, "Just put it there."
Bai Xinran came out of the kitchen, her apron damp with water.
"You're here?" she said.
"Hmm," Zhou Mengqi took off her coat and draped it over the back of the chair, "Do you need any help?"
"No need, it'll be ready soon." Bai Xinran turned and went back to the kitchen.
Zhou Mengqi sat down next to Yu Heng and leaned over to look at his phone screen: "What are you looking at?"
"The guild's backend data." Yu Heng tilted the screen towards her. "The new streamer's traffic is pretty good."
"That's great," Zhou Mengqi said. "By the way, during my live stream last night, a viewer kept asking if I could add them on WeChat."
"What did you reply?" Yu Heng asked.
"I told him we couldn't contact each other privately," Zhou Mengqi said, "but he sent a lot of gifts."
Yu Heng raised an eyebrow: "How much did you swipe?"
"About ten thousand," Zhou Mengqi said. "I just sang a song to express my gratitude."
"That's good then," Yu Heng said. "How does it feel to play?"
"It's alright," Zhou Mengqi blinked, "but it's a bit energy-consuming."
